Mister Miracle by David Zissou

SadnessFactory requested Mister Miracle, who I actually like a lot and decided to do something a bit more legitimate. I’m not finished with this yet, but this is the core illustration/colors.

I’m also willing to part with this for 25 bucks.

If you’re interested, or you want to recommend a superhero for me to draw poorly, drop one in my ask!

I plan on doing most!

TheSkyisGlue asked for “Darkwing Duck.”
Put a superhero in my ask and I’ll do a five minute shit sketch for you!

unconventionallyclassy said: Nightwing

I really loved Grant Morrison’s run with Dick Grayson as Batman and the editorial decision to stop that makes me think of the scene in Toy Story where Buzz learns he’s a toy and has an existential breakdown with Randy Newman. Batmaning no more and stuff.
Recommend your favorite superhero and I’ll  get around to drawing a shitty picture of them within five minutes!

333

333 is a series of three panel strips I did late last year. This was a personal project that was born of the alienation of feeling isolated from the world. I felt synthetic, adrift in nothingness. I only put a few of these strips online. I knew people wouldn’t really care for them, that’s why they felt right as a sort of therapy for myself at that time. It only occured to me toward the end that creating is self-indulgent. No one really benefits from art thought we claim it does. We make and consume art because we don’t know what to do with ourselves. I can only see this assumption in myself every time I draw. It’s not entirely a logical assessment, but it makes sense now that we can dissect  lives through the scalpel of social media.

freecloudmountain answered your question: Can I get any favorite superhero request to draw?
daredevil
I actually want to do a legitimate pinup of Daredevil. I like the yellow costume.
Recommend some more superheroes that I’ll try to draw in 5 minutes.

The background title design borrowed from First Second’s Battling Boy poster. This is my first time playing with animation and it’ll be repurposed for the series of giveaways I’m doing for First Second on the Paul Pope tumblr, DestroyComics.
Battling Boy is fantastic!

You know those tweezers included with swiss army knives? You can dip them in ink and draw with them like a nib or ruling pen.
