333
333 is a series of three panel strips I did late last year. This was a personal project that was born of the alienation of feeling isolated from the world. I felt synthetic, adrift in nothingness. I only put a few of these strips online. I knew people wouldn’t really care for them, that’s why they felt right as a sort of therapy for myself at that time. It only occured to me toward the end that creating is self-indulgent. No one really benefits from art thought we claim it does. We make and consume art because we don’t know what to do with ourselves. I can only see this assumption in myself every time I draw. It’s not entirely a logical assessment, but it makes sense now that we can dissect lives through the scalpel of social media.
